Thanks for clicking on my bio. I love my job! I am never disappointed to go into the office (or post-Covid, to work from home). My favorite part of real estate law is bringing ideas on paper to life, whether it be a retail shopping center, industrial warehouse, apartment complex or office building. I have over two decades of experience representing sellers and buyers, landlords and tenants, and lenders and borrowers. As such, I am well versed in all sides of the negotiating table. My practice involves providing counsel for the acquisition, disposition, management and financing of commercial real estate projects throughout the United States, including performing due diligence on prospective assets and negotiating purchase contracts, leases, loan documents and equity documents.
You can count on me to analyze each deal as if I were a partner in your transaction with a vested interest in the result. I enjoy building relationships over time and being an integral part of a team. I have a likeable and easygoing negotiating style but can be firm when necessary. My representation of you will include structuring your transaction in a way to minimize risk while at the same time balancing legal and business perspectives so as not to interfere with your deal flow. I’m creative enough to offer many solutions to bring your transaction to a favorable close, but I’m also practical enough to let you know when your time, money and energy would be better directed towards a different project.
I currently reside in Austin and spend a few days a month in San Antonio. When not working, I enjoy traveling, laughing, SoulCycle, good conversations and new experiences. On the weekend you are likely to find me watching football, attending a yoga class, scootering around downtown Austin with my daughter, or catching a concert with my husband. I spend copious amounts of time researching vacation destinations and planning the next big adventure. In a second life I would be a travel agent (if those still existed).
If I seem like the type of lawyer you would like to represent you, I would love to speak with you more about your project to see if our firm would be a good fit. Feel free to reach out any time.
